The version is read once at startup from the VERSION file, which is now also copied into the Docker image. The footer is right-aligned below the content block and only shown to logged-in users, so anonymous visitors do not learn the exact version. The startup log now has "Max starting." at the beginning of main() and "Max initialized, version X." at the end, so a failed startup is visible by the missing second line. Setup
Requirements: Docker, Make
Start with make run-dev
Configuration
MAX_ORIGIN(required in production): The public origin of MAX, e.g.https://max.finn.stMAX_PRODUCTION=1is set in the Docker image and makes MAX refuse to start in debug mode (FLASK_DEBUG). Do not override it.
Dependencies
Direct dependencies are listed in requirements.in (production) and
requirements-dev.in (development tools). requirements.txt and
requirements-dev.txt are lockfiles with exact versions and hashes
